Fantastic Experience!

Lauren Strebel is a wonderful doula! She was supportive of my husband and I from our first meeting, through the birth, and afterward in follow-up. Lauren is warm and engaging, and also extremely professional and knowledgeable. I had some concerns that a doula would somehow make my husband feel less necessary during the birth of our baby, but Lauren was instrumental in helping him learn how to read the contractions and coach me through them (a great deal more assistance than the Lamaze classes we took!), and her presence was comforting to both of us. Because of her, we had the natural birth we had wished for, and a wonderful experience together.
I think it's worth adding that my ObGyn, though open to having a doula present, also voiced some misgivings based on mixed experiences he had had. After the birth, he said that Lauren was the best doula he had ever seen, and that she would be his recommendation to his patients who wanted a doula.
Lauren made our daughter's birth the joyous and spiritual experience we had hoped for. We can't recommend her enough!
