Hi Everybody! I am Advocate Mom. I have three awesome kids. A 19 year old foster son who joined us at age 14 and has never been comfortable with us finalizing his adoption. Nonetheless, he is totally ours! His 16 year old biological brother who moved in at 11 and we adopted at 13, and our surprise--our Girlie who is almost 3.

We live Up North in the great state of Minnesota! We like camping, hiking, and lots of outdoor activities (yep--even in the winter!).

Hello everyone!

I have just joined this forum thanks to a friend of mine, Kid of Chaos. I was adopted when I was just a few days old and since then it has been a very interesting experience (for lack of a better term). I have just finished up my Bachelors degree in Psychology and am heading off to graduate school for a Masters in Social Work. Being a child of adoption and knowing the unique struggles we experience in daily life, I am incredibly interested in working in and improving the adoption process. Recently I have undergone some difficult struggles with my other adopted sibling and have found that others have had similar experiences. I am here to find some support among others who have been touched by adoption, but also to educate and inform others about what it is like to be adopted as well.

I am really excited to be here and join in on the discussion!!!
