Default Is my baby getting enough vitamins and minerals with solid foods?

How do I make sure my baby is getting enough vitamins and minerals when they start to eat solid foods?

Default Re:Is my baby getting enough vitamins and minerals with solid foods?

When your baby is getting solid foods, he or she should still be drinking formula up until a year of age which should give the baby enough vitamins and mineral, even though he or she is getting less formula than normal. Solid foods are also fortified with vitamins and minerals, especially when you do a mixture of vegetables, meat and fruits.

If you are concerned about your baby not getting enough vitamins—if, for example, it doesn’t like meat or some vegetables—you should consider talking with your doctor about getting your baby on a liquid vitamin. This is especially true when your baby switches to milk rather than formula.

Liquid vitamins come with a dropper and you simply give a dropperful or a half dropperful, depending on their weight and age, once per day and then you needn’t worry, although you should still aim for a balanced diet for your baby.
