Default Will baby get tired of the same old thing?

I am a bit concerned about my eight-month old diet. He nurses several times a day and has fortified rice cereal for lunch and vegetables (carrots) in the afternoon, day after day. How can eating the same vegetable and cereal be healthy? Won’t he be getting tired of it? I sure wouldn’t like to eat the same thing every day.

At eight months, you should be introducing a variety of cereals, fruits and vegetables in your baby’s diet. If he or she eats the same thing every day, he is still getting the nutrition he needs through nursing and probably isn’t suffering from a lack of nutrition. Even so, by eight months, it is up to you to change up the diet so he gets a variety of different baby foods every day.
