Default Breastfeeding after cutting out dairy

I am breastfeeding my eight week old daughter. Unfortunately, I had to cut all dairy products from my diet because my little one couldn’t handle it. How can I get enough calcium now?

You can take a calcium supplement that will bring up your calcium levels and would be safe for the baby. Alternatively, vegetable greens such as spinach, kale and broccoli, and some legumes and soybean products are good sources of calcium from plants. You need to take in about 1000 mg Calcium per day so, unless you can get a lot of calcium from vegetarian sources, you should be taking a supplement.
