Default Should I Ask Doctor About Baby's Spit Up?

My four week old son is growing quite nicely. I am just a bit concerned though because he often spits up quite a lot when I have finished nursing. Should I talk to the doctor about it or is this normal for small babies?

Yes and yes. If your baby is thriving, then the spit up is likely not a big issue. Most babies spit up to some degree. Amounts, I guess, are relative. But discuss it with your pediatrician to make sure that it’s not reflux or something physiological. It could be that a change in your diet will reduce the amount of spit up (which can be a real pain to deal with, I know!). Tomato sauce, for example, made my babies gassy. So, I had to cut down on the Italian food while I was breastfeeding. Other women have similar problems with broccoli and other foods.

In my opinion spitting up for this age of babies is not i big issue because it's natural and yes if your baby is spitting that much which are not expecting from him then you should concerned with your doctor.Good Luck and God bless you .
