Default Colic success story

I debated naming this thread "A colic cure" but of course i can't say that it would definitely work for every baby-- i just know that my little girl screamed for hours every night for 3 weeks, and now rarely fusses for more than 10 minutes!
My solution: PROBIOTICS for mother and baby every day & SIMETHICONE before every meal.
I believe that most people nowadays are extremely deficient in the "good bacteria" and this deficiency is passed on to baby, translating to an inability to digest the large amounts of milk/formula they require. In particular, there has been lots of research done on the REUTERI strain and colic-- look it up! So far i personally know of 3 cases in which supplementation totally cleared up baby's gas and fussiness. The drops seem to be the most potent form but i just got the Nature's Way capsules, broke them open and fed them to baby on my finger; I also took 1 myself every morning on an empty stomach. I also took a very high quality probiotic from Dr Ohhira Dr. Ohhira Probiotics | Up To 38% OFF | Probiotics Supplements | Probiotic Soap | Probiotics Oils | Buy Probiotics From Dr. Ohhira Probiotics and also fed it to her.

She was less fussy after 1 week of this but still had gas so i am giving her Little Tummies by Little Remedies from Walgreens before each feeding and that really facilitates the burping and she seems to release the gas down below much easier.
For those occasional times she still gets fussy, Hyland's homeopathic colic tablets work surprisingly quickly!

I did try Gripe Water with little success, but according to my research anything with a pH neutralizer like soda bicarb should not be given long-term because it will interfere with stomach acid balance-- and either weak or strong stomach acid can lead to problems.

I really hope this helps someone!
