Yesterday my four month old baby said "Mama". Is she really saying that or was I just imagining it?

Yes, she was really saying it. But, unfortunately, she wasn’t referring to you. Between four and six months, babies begin to add consonant sounds to the vowel sounds they’ve been cooing for a little while. This when “mama” and “dada” make their first appearances. Along with “baba” and “yaya” too. This is just vocalization while your baby learns to use her mouth, tongue, lungs and vocal chords. It won’t be until closer to age one when she realizes that “mama” is actually you!

Yes, Its true and you are not Imagining this.A four Month old child can say some words and Your four months old baby really said "Mama" .. Congratulations but I am totally agree with the WombToBloom that she was not actually saying this for you..

yup ..!!! WombToBloom am totally agree whit you because in the four months baby don't know what the people's saying and said .. after seven to eight month's .. baby understand our voice's and then try to copy it...
