Re:Four Month Old is Cross-Eyed - Should I See Ophthalmologist?
After about four weeks, baby’s eyes shouldn’t cross very often. At four months, they definitely shouldn’t cross all or most of the time. Your baby may have a condition called strabismus in which there is a lack of coordination between the eyes. You should have it looked at as soon as possible. The longer it goes untreated, the more likely it is that his or her brain will begin ignoring input from one of the eyes, creating a “lazy eye.” Talk to your pediatrician about what ophthalmalogist he or she recommends.
