My baby started crawling when he was only seven months old. But now at eleven months he is still not walking on his own. Why is his development slowing down like that?

Just because one skill was somewhat early doesn’t always mean that the rest will follow suit. My guess is that he has gotten quite proficient at crawling and gets around to whatever it is he thinks he needs. He has no use for walking quite yet. My first son was an early walker but his fine motor skills were delayed. The doctor explained that my son walked at a time when others were developing their fine motor skills – so my son had “more important” things to be checking out. So, he walked like a champ but couldn’t get raisins off the table and into his mouth to save his life…It all worked out in the end. Don’t worry about the walking until at least 16 to 18 months.

No need to worry about that if your 11 months baby is still not walking or crawling. It happens with some babies so just wait till become 1 year old hope he will started walking in that age. God bless you.
