Default How Can I Help My 4 Month Old Roll from His Front to Back?

My four month old son will roll over from his back to his tummy. However, once he is on his tummy he is stuck and starts to cry. How can I help him learn rolling back onto his back?

I always just helped mine with the mechanics of the front-to-back roll and even encouraged them with a toy held just out of reach in the direction I wanted them to lean. But, before you start, trying too hard, know that many babies aren’t physically ready to roll in both directions until five or six months old. They still need some tummy time to develop the muscles and movements necessary for that tummy-to-back move.
