Default Five Month Old Doesn't Roll Over Yet

My five month old baby won't roll over yet. Should I be worried or is that quite normal?

I wouldn’t be too worried. Rolling can sometimes take until six months. Can he lift his head, push up with straight arms to lift his chest off the ground? These are the movements that actually develop the muscles he needs to roll over. My youngest two are twins - one of them rolled both ways at four months. The other one - the chunkier one - didn't roll until at least six months. And even then, he didn't do much of it.

Some babies, like mine, basically skip over rolling and go on to sitting and crawling. For my chubby baby, there was not much rolling but he was quicker to sit than his brother. So, I wouldn't worry about it too much. As long as he seems to be learning new things and is trying to figure out how to get around or at least get to his toys, he's probably just fine.
