Re:It is summer, how should I dress my newborn when taking her out?
If it is hot in the summer, you can dress your baby in a onesie or in a sleeper, depending on how hot it is. You can just carry the baby around that way, especially indoors or can use a receiving blanket to swaddle the baby.
Babies like to be swaddled so a receiving blanket might be just the thing to calm the baby. Hats are optional as are socks. The baby doesn’t need a hat unless it is cool or windy and socks on a warm day might be okay and might just be too hot.
As long as you remember to swaddle your baby, you will be doing all right. Very young or preterm babies probably should wear a one piece sleeper but probably doesn’t need a onesie under that.
Preterm babies should have socks and maybe a hat as well until they reach their due date. Girls can wear summerlike dresses with short pants and boys can wear baby shorts and a shirt if you’re trying to have the baby be fancier than just a onesie.
