Re:What is the safest type of clothing for my infant to sleep in?
Part of it depends on the season. If it is warm out, have your baby sleep in a onesie. It is cool and comfortable with little extra fabric to choke or suffocate your baby with. In cool weather, use a sleeper that fits the baby relatively well. It could be a fleece sleeper if it is really cool in your home or it can be a knit sleeper with a onesie underneath. Then you can swaddle your baby in a receiving blanket to keep the baby comfortable as it sleeps. Don’t have the baby sleep in one of those frilly dresses or in a two piece outfit that can ride up and get around the baby’s neck. One piece items are best and the most comfortable for baby as well.
