Default Help! I Can't Get My Baby to Sit Still for Fingernail Clipping

My three month old baby's fingernails grow like crazy and she keeps scratching herself. She doesn't hold still though when I try to cut the fingernails and I am scared of cutting her. Any tricks on how to get this done more easily?

Try it while she’s sleeping (probably easiest if she’s in a bouncy seat or her car seat) or even while she’s nursing (if you’re talented enough to figure out how to keep her at the breast and use both hands to cut the fingernails – believe me, it CAN be done…).

In my opinion the right time for cutting nails of this age babies is when they are sleeping.
