Default Dying to exercise but baby is only 10 days old!

I am just 10 days postpartum but desperately need to get back in shape. I know you are not supposed to really work out until the six-week mark, but are there some gentle exercises that I could get started with now?

You can start with exercises like yoga which improves strength and flexibility without being too hard on the body. Pilates might also be a good choice.

As long as you are logical and dress your baby lightly, you should have no problems strolling as a form of exercise. Cover your baby’s face and body with the cover of the stroller so that the baby doesn’t get direct sunlight and put the baby in a onesie and both you and your baby should tolerate the exercise without difficulty. Remain well hydrated as you exercise so you have enough breast milk to feed your baby with and consider breastfeeding halfway through the exercise.

You can’t swim, jog or bicycle until several more weeks have gone by and you are not bleeding anymore.

Yes you can do exercise but don't try to hard exercises like jogging,skipping rope etc.i suggest you to buy exercise video cd's for pregnant woman's it will be quite helpful for you.Good luck

Are you crazy how can she do YOGA thing she said her baby is only 10 DAYS not YEARS you apply that on yours well this stupid old stuff is getting bored for me now eehhh

Why would you go to unnecessarily risks at time of your rest.first take rest for a few weeks,then you may start all the exercises what do you think.First of all our health is valuable and important.Don't go for doing the exercises at present.
