Re: Should I Get a Jogging Stroller?
I guess it depends on whether you’re a runner and where you plan on going with your baby. If you do run or walk regularly, my presumption is that you’re going to want a jogger. It makes for a much smoother run for you and ride for the baby. And you’ll certainly get a lot of use out of it. If you’re not a runner but go to the park a whole lot, a jogging stroller can be useful too. Those large rubber tires navigate over grass and non-paved terrain a heck of a lot easier than standard strollers.
I didn’t have a jogging stroller for my first two. I worked outside of the home, didn’t run and didn’t see a need for it. My sitter at the time had one and used it regularly to take the kids on long walks around the neighborhood and to the park. When I had my twins, I actually bought my former sitter’s used double jogging stroller. Not that I turned into a big runner, but my older kids now participate in sports and the jogging stroller was essential to navigating sports fields with the babies.
