One of our twin daughters died just hours after birth. Her twin sister is now a healthy three month old. But I have a hard time bonding with my little one. Every time I look at her I have to think of her dead sister and feel like crying. I know that is not fair to our little girl but can't help it. Does anyone have advice on bonding with my baby girl?

First, I am very sorry for the loss of your daughter. This must be a very painful and confusing time for you and your family. Your three month old does need you but you can’t be expected to just “get over” the death of her sister either. I really think that a grief counselor would be helpful for you. Call your OB or your hospital to see if they have any recommendations. Talking with a therapist may help you figure out how best to grieve AND to move forward at the same time.
