It seems like everyone freaks out about this now, although for decades it was considered normal to 'walk around 1 talk around 2 Babies go through physical changes around 2 that improve how well they can speak.

A lot depends on how much the mother and father talk to the baby and how they talk to the baby. A baby that hears a lot of talking related to his daily life, can start to a make sounds that are like words around the age of six months - like ma, ba, da and round about 10--12 months will say
baby-speak words -like mama, dada, nana bobo (bottle), appa (apple) , and perhaps cup, cat, dog, light, up, no.

Hey my nephew is i think one and a half years old she speaks lil bit but she dont speak the full words yet means when she speaks she brakes most of the words.So no need to worry about that some kids starts speaking in the age of two.

I have 4 year son I am not to worried as of yet ! I think as the kids see more kids there age, at play dates and community centres they learn alot faster. Good luck but I think you will be fine.
