Our daughter has officially said her first word without us hunched over babbling repeatedly into her ear.

Sure, she's been waddling around screaming "dada dada dada dada dada" for a few months but I don't think she's chanting about me.

We've been consistently telling her to "Say please" before we hand her anything. Usually it's met with a fuss, a whine, or outstretched hands with little grabby fingers. But yesterday she experienced a milestone.

As my wife held a graham cracker in plain view Kamryn said, "Peeze!"

I know, it's one word, but the fact that she associated it with the act of withholding food was precious. Applause and laughter ensued. I even told Heather to get the camera for some inexplicable reason.

A small victory but one we'll never forget.

LOL we've been trying to get our little guy to say please and thankyou as well, and occasionally he will use the words properly.. and yes it's still "peeze" and "taku" but the words he's REALLY picked up on are "NO" " STOP" " FWING ( swing)" and "SIDE ( outside)" " LO (hello)<phone>"

as well as momma, dadda, nana

All of the other is still babble we have to try to translate lol, but no less precious.
