Default Cleaning Rates - any ideas??

My wife is still in Dallas with two of our lil' ones and I'm here at home with our eldest. I want to have the house all clean and refreshed for when she returns but have no idea what the going rate is for hiring someone! I'd do it but I suck at it and it's not on my list of faves anyhow.

Here Molly Maid charges $100 for dust vacuum, beds, and the laundry that is out, +Dishes.

We don't have a Molly Maid or a cleaning service like that where we are. We're somewhat isolated, which is what I like, so I need to call around to people who advertise for it. I have no clue what the right rate is nor do I want some nutball of Craigslist showing up. Although that would still be better than ME doing it.

The only reason I know the rates is because I bought a 2 week clean up for my friend after she had her baby. It was a great gift!

haha, stop being a big baby

Do you know anyone that has fallen on hard times in your area that you're friends with that may need the extra moolah? Or, are you a member of a church that might know of someone?

We have some calls out to friends. Need to find someone who doesn't know how messy I am.

Then I got a steal. A friend of ours recommended a woman and she charges $80 for 4 hours. She swears she's excellent so she's booked for Saturday morning. That way I have no time to mess up her handy work.
