Default I need exercise advise.

Does anyone have any exercise advice? I have a thirty minute block every morning and around an hour in the evenings. Besides "aerobic" or "cardio" does anyone have any step by step advice for me? I'm pear shape and looking to loose a little extra weight. Thanks in advance!

If appropriate to the method of exercise, listen to good music-- i think that is the key to staying motivated during workout. When I cant hear my breath I feel less tired and really push myself. Music is great while jogging in a safe place or riding a stationary bike. I personally find it very hard to jog in the morning, both to actually get out of bed and to maintain a pace. My joints just dont seem to want to move and i get out of breath quickly. But if it works for you, its the best way to get your body moving for the day.
If indoors, do some Pilates or some other aerobic exercise that combines cardio with strength, flexibility, toning etc. Jumping rope is also one of the best forms of exercise.
Swimming is awesome too!
In short, there's lots of stuff you can do, it just depends on what you enjoy... or hate the least

I use work out videos to try and motivate me and a lot of them are about a half hour in length. Check some out from the library before buying to make sure it works for you before spending the money.

Thanks for all the great advice! Bookieboo looks like they have a lot of motivated women with advice...very good. I never thought of renting a work out dvd from the library, that is genius. And Rosario's advice of finding something you enjoy or hate the least cracks me up. Maybe I will get on that Elliptical that is taking up space in my craft room. Thanks ladies!

Just plain walking and swimming-, easy and fun ! Or learn a new skill, dancing lessons, or just dance to music by yourself, Learn a new sport, by videos on Yoga and breathing exercises. Jusr egular deep breathing helps one lose weight.

Deep breathing? wow! I've never heard of that. I'm getting inspired. I've started walking the dog twice daily. I'm starting slow so hopefully I'll stick with it.

Look on Google for" Oxycise".
I have their videos, you can check out the information and decide for yourself.
Good luck and happy healthy day!

what worked for me was walking one hour fast pace about 3-4 times per week and doing sit ups. I lost 22lbs and the stomach was the first to go, my thighs were the last to go LOL I went from 78 to 56 in just a couple of months.

You also have to watch your diet. I ate a banana every morning for breakfast, a salad or sandwich for lunch and then ate dinner off a dessert plate to help cut my portions. I also cut soda out of my diet.

I believe that the combination of all these things is what did the trick.

Take it slow, don't rush yourself because that usually ends badly (talking from experience lol). If you haven't exercised in a while, walk around the block a few times. Jogging is always great, specially with music. Oh, and remember to always warm up before and cool down after jogging.
