Has anyone tried the services of sitter city (http://www.hireasitternow.com)? I was able to hire a babysitter from them for my son when my husband and I needed to go to a conference for a day and it was great.

I haven't heard of that one, but I do know there are usually local sitter/nanny sites for most areas. Some of them even require background checks, which is always nice!

I've loved Care.com. I've been on both sides of the isle...looking to babysit and looking for someone to babysit for me. Great company. I recommend them 100%! I hope you find what you are looking for!

I have also used Care.com to find a great sitter in my town. True, they are more expensive per month than Sitter City, but claim to have a larger database and membership gives you some additional discounts
