Default Breast Cancer: A sad Journey

Breast Cancer: A sad Journey
Not sure how many reading this blog have taken this journey. It’s not an easy journey for most people. I’m not going to paint roses and butterflies because although they are around, many times the journey for cancer patients is not an easy one, especially during the final stages. My grandmother and grandfather died of cancer. I also have an aunt with breast cancer. She suffers, and she also smiles trying to make others happy but within (I know) she is in pain. For all those who currently have cancer, all I can tell you is, I understand. I understand all the times you cry and it seems the heavens are closed and nobody hears. I understand your pain and the nights you can’t sleep. I understand the uncertainty of it all because I have seen it and I have seen people I love being whipped by it. It’ll be ok. You’ll survive. You will live many days to smile and show joy to your children and grandchildren, and if you don’t, your memory will be remembered with love. I believe after we die we go to a better place, and that gives me comfort. What do you believe?
It’s not that easy to accept you have breast cancer or doing a physical examination of the breast, at least once a year. However, it’s very necessary doing so. If you find out ahead of time chances are you’ll recuperate faster. Breast cancer symptoms include lumps, breast pain, skin irritation, persistent fever, nipple discharge other than milk, swelling, and some others. Don’t give up, fight, and live a healthy life. You won’t regret taking care of yourself. Your family will greatly appreciate it. Besides benefiting yourself, you’ll make it easier on them. Don’t be stubborn, take your medicine, and be docile. I know the pain can be excruciating, but be brave, you’ll get to the other side of the river. It’ll be less painful surrendering your health to good hands, and dealing with it. Not wanting to get a cure will only worsen things. Go to websites, and read the stories of people like you who have survived and lived many years. Encourage other cancer patients in their sad journey, and your pain will be less.

Cancer occurs as a result of mutations, or abnormal changes, in the genes responsible for regulating the growth of cells and keeping them healthy. The genes are in each cell’s nucleus, which acts as the “control room” of each cell. Normally, the cells in our bodies replace themselves through an orderly process of cell growth: healthy new cells take over as old ones die out. But over time, mutations can “turn on” certain genes and “turn off” others in a cell. That changed cell gains the ability to keep dividing without control or order, producing more cells just like it and forming a tumor.
