Default Had to Cancel Gym Membership. Exercises That Don't Cost a Thing?

Since the baby was born three months ago I am a stay-at-home mom. I love having the time to spend with my little one but we are really missing my paycheck! One of the ways we are trying to save money is by dropping my gym membership. Not sure if that is such a good idea. I haven't lost all the pregnancy weight yet and feel the need to get back in shape. What would be good ways to exercise that won't cost money?

Walk! Strap that baby into her stroller or sling or front pack and take a brisk walk every day – 30 to 60 minutes at a time. Her added weight will provide just enough challenge to your workout. If it’s too cold to walk around your neighborhood or the park, head to an enclosed mall or your community center. (I often felt like I was getting a workout just by wearing my babies in a front pack while doing my housecleaning and my laundry and while going up and down my stairs!)

You can also rent some good exercise or yoga DVDs (or, better yet, check them out from the library). Some programs will even incorporate your little one (as your “weights”).
