Walk! Strap that baby into her stroller or sling or front pack and take a brisk walk every day – 30 to 60 minutes at a time. Her added weight will provide just enough challenge to your workout. If it’s too cold to walk around your neighborhood or the park, head to an enclosed mall or your community center. (I often felt like I was getting a workout just by wearing my babies in a front pack while doing my housecleaning and my laundry and while going up and down my stairs!)
You can also rent some good exercise or yoga DVDs (or, better yet, check them out from the library). Some programs will even incorporate your little one (as your “weights”).
