Re:How Can I Save Money on Disposables Diapers?
There are several ways you can approach saving on disposable diapers. First, try out the various store brands – especially at the wholesale clubs like Costco and Sam’s. If you like them, they tend to be cheaper than Huggies and Pampers. Second, make sure that you use a “per diaper” price when comparing between stores. For whatever reason, it seems that each store has different sized packages. So, while the price for the “big package” at Target may seem better, it may have 5 to 10 few diapers in it than the “big package” at Sam’s – or vice versa.
It can be a pain – but coupons really help. Especially if you get double value for your coupon. There are websites now that will deliver diapers to your door. If you use promotional codes and coupons, those can be a good deal too – even with shipping.
One last tip from me and then I’ll let some others chime in: keep an eye on Walgreen’s and CVS (and especially their frequent shopper programs). While these places may not traditionally offer thrifty buys, they often offer good coupons and “rewards points” which will get you money off of future purchases too.
