I was expecting my baby to crawl but he is still not doing so. He is ten months old and does get to wherever he wants to go by rolling around the floor. Is he just going to be late in crawling or is something wrong?

More and more babies lately are late crawlers or skip crawling altogether. Most people see this as a result of the anti-SIDS “Back to Sleep” campaign – babies just aren’t getting as much tummy time as in years past. I think that as long as your baby is showing interest in moving around, you’ve got nothing to worry about. Some babies roll, some scoot on their bottoms, some do that funny little army crawl and other crawl on their hands and knees. If your son is still developing new skills like sitting and pulling up and cruising, he’s doing great.
