Several of the all-inclusive beach resorts offer family-friendly packages – complete with certified babysitters for afternoons or evenings when you’d like to share a quiet meal with your spouse. Check out Club Med and Beaches resorts. Some cruises are also baby-friendly with play areas and child care available.
You can also try the beach at a regular hotel, resort or rental. Many babies are content to play in the sand, splash in the water and then nap under a pop-up tent or umbrella for the afternoon. I’d have a “Plan B” though just in case your little one decides that a whole day in the sun and sand isn’t her cup of tea. If you can swing it, one option would be to find someplace to stay that is beachfront – that way, a fussy baby can quickly be taken back inside to rest without a huge production.
One last suggestion: Many families really like to take their little ones to Disney World and Disneyland. I understand that Disney vacations can really be arranged nicely with a baby.
