Default Tips for a Ten Hour Car Ride with a 5 Month Old?

Yikes, we will have to make a ten hour road trip with our five month old baby! I would really love some tips and ideas on how to make this trip as little stressful as possible.

Default Re:Tips for a Ten Hour Car Ride with a 5 Month Old?

The longest we’ve ever done in the car with a baby is about five hours. On certain trips, it was a nightmare; on others, totally fine. So, I think I’d start by having realistic expectations. It may take longer than usual – you may have to make a few more pit stops. But, if you can handle it, why not start your trip at her bedtime? As long as the two of you can stay awake, she’ll probably be asleep for a good portion of the trip. Or start at about naptime, make a feeding stop when she wakes up and then start again? She’ll probably fall asleep again relatively soon.

Does anyone else have suggestions?
