Obviously, pack his clothes and some toys, food and bottles for the trip there and back. Don’t forget the pacifier or the security blanket if he needs those. For everything else, check with your host and hostess. Do they have a stroller that you can use if you go somewhere? Or maybe an easier way to handle your little one is a sling or baby carrier – if so, don’t forget it! Does your host have a pack ‘n play you could borrow? If not, think about whether you or the baby will get any sleep if he shares your bed. And then throw your pack ‘n play in the car or consider renting one when you get to your destination. You’ll also need your son’s car seat, whether you are traveling by car (duh!) or by plane. If you are traveling by plane, you’ll need to buy your son a seat to use his car seat on the plane. Or you can check the seat with your luggage. Or you can borrow a seat from your hosts.
