Re: Not Sure About Our Daycare; Should I Start Looking for A New One?
Trust your mommy instincts. Different people have different expectations for caregivers. Well-respected and recommended is fine. But if you and your child are not happy, none of it matters. They may be good at administering their curriculum. They may be great for older kids. But it sounds like there’s a personality disconnect for your family. And, frankly, that’s enough.
I pulled my three year old from a highly sought-after early childhood program several years ago. I had many friends who sent their kids to preschool at this facility and LOVED it. I had misgivings about my son’s Mothers Day Out teachers from the first day. But I told myself to give it a chance. We lasted three months before I realized that my child needed something different. So, I would definitely say to follow your heart and start investigating other daycare providers.
