Hi, everyone! I'm a work-at-home mom (a freelance writer) to seven-month-old Ashley. She is my first child, and every day she brings learning experiences, new challenges and the absolute happiest joys I ever thought I'd feel.

I live on Long Island, NY. I'm very much a natural childbirth/natural medicine/breastfeeding/attachment parenting advocate but I won't judge others for their decisions, views or opinions, either. I'd have my next baby at home if I could but hubby insists on a hospital at least, although Ashley was a midwife-assisted birth.

Welcome to the forums! My dh was SO against homebirth, until he met with the midwife. Now, two homebirths later, he's one of the most outspoken hubbys I know! My youngest is 9 months - it's a fun age, isn't it???

I live in Buffalo, NY but I've never been to Long Island. Not from here, though. From NC originally and a lot of people in the 'country' still practice herbal meds. Maybe we can share remedies?
