Hello! You aren't a dunce.

To edit your profile simply click on "Manage My Stuff" on the top left of the forum's navbar.

As for the signature, this feature becomes available to you after 10 posts. This is in place to combat spammers who create a profile, post a few nonsense replies, and then litter their signatures with spammy links.
