Late Ovulation
I currently have a 26 day cycle and thought I'd been ovulating around day 14 but apparently it's more like 21!
I had been having sensations through my uterus that were atypical for me pulling and tingling and then I was feeling pain near my ovaries. I was concerned I might have a cyst so I called my obgyn. They weren't in so they had me go in for ultrasounds. The technician was very nice and asked about the pain I was having, while she was looking around. Then she asked if I was having trouble conceiving, I said we were only on our second month of trying. She told me I had a very nice follicle on my left ovary and a few good ones on my right. When I asked what that meant, I figured she meant those would mature after this coming period and she told me, no, mabe a day. That was Friday the 25th, (I went home and used the OPK and it finally came up positive) I continued to have the pain until about 7pm saturday when I felt the stabbing pain of ovulation.
So, with all that in mind is ovulating so late in a cycle a hinderance to becoming pregnant?
UGH! I see the obgyn on Wed just wondering if anyone had any ideas.
Thanks again,
Christi
So went to the Dr's Wed and he said everything looks good. What he did say was that he thought my cycle had changed b/c of the stress from the wedding and that I shouldn't get my period until the 6th.
So his instructions were as follows:
You get your period tomorrow(today) call - we need to adjust your next cycle.
You get your period by the 9th call - he'll tell me when to use the opk
You don't get your period by 11th call - you may be pregnant.
So now up to another 2 weeks of waiting! UGHHH!
Thanks again!
Christi
