Newborns don’t really need much – although the list of items probably depends on what time of year you deliver. Carseat and clothes are the big items. Make sure you’ve got some layers if it’s cold outside. A onesie, some socks and a warm outfit. Throw in a hat and some blankets. If it’s really cold, think about a fleece carseat cover as well. But really? You’ll be carrying him about six feet from the door of the hospital to your warm, waiting car – so no need to go overboard.
