Default How to Avoid Leg Cramps?

Last night I woke up with terrible leg cramps. Any ideas on how to avoid those in the future?

You can avoid standing or sitting for long periods. You can stretch your calf muscles during the day and before bed. Wiggle your feet and lets while you eat dinner or watch television. Take a good walk. Drink lots of water. Take a warm bath.

If the pain continues regularly, talk to your doctor as it may be more than just your run-of-the-mill leg cramp.

Iook at your diet, you should stay away from Soft drinks as the high phosphates will increase your chance of leg cramps. Also make sure your getting enough Calcium and Magnesium in your diet. If dietary intake is inadequate, taking a calcium supplement (up to 600 mg daily) and a magnesium supplement (320 mg daily) may be helpful. Supplements containing calcium phosphate should be avoided. Also make sure you have adequate Potassium. So eating bananas(Potassium), milk, yogurt, cheese (Calcium), Almonds, cashews, spinach oatmeal (Magnesium) are all good for helping avoid leg cramps

Don't wear clothing that might restrict blood flow to your legs. Try sitting tailor-style (cross-legged). This position naturally helps prevent pelvic congestion and improves circulation to the legs. Try walking and pelvic rocking as natural ways to improve circulation to the legs. Drink plenty of water
