Default Is bowling a safe activity when six weeks pregnant?

I am so excited about this pregnancy. I have already had a miscarriage and don’t want to risk anything this time. Now I am supposed to go bowling with some clients. I know it might sound silly, but I worry that bowling could hurt the baby. I am six weeks pregnant. Is there need to be concerned or am I just worrying too much?

If you are having no bleeding or cramping, going bowling in the first trimester is perfectly safe. It is also likely to be safe throughout the pregnancy. There is no evidence that mild to moderate exercise will cause a miscarriage. Go ahead and go bowling. Even if you fall, your fetus is well protected within the pelvis and behind the pelvic bone so it is not at risk of injury.
