Default Chicken was my favorite, now it makes me sick

Ever since I got pregnant I can’t stand the smell (or thought) of chicken. Usually, chicken is the only meat I eat. Is meat necessary during pregnancy or is this my body’s way of telling me to stay away from it?

It is not necessary to eat meat during pregnancy and there are many women who eat vegan during the pregnancy. The trick is to get enough protein which can be gotten through milk-based proteins, nuts and legumes. Talk with a dietitian about having a vegan diet during the pregnancy and follow that instead of a meat-containing diet. Sometimes, the aversion to meat occurs only during the first trimester and completely resolves itself in the second or third trimesters. Try giving chicken a try in the second trimester to see if you can finally tolerate it.

I have the same problem. So I know what you are going through. My husband and I just eat red meat or if he wants chicken I'll usually just walk away and find something else. When I hit my second trimester I really really wanted chicken but everytime I would try to eat it it would make me sick. I wish you better luck than I had.

Have you tried other meats since you are pregnate? I could only eat chicken when I was with child. That was hard for a girl like me who loves her burgers and steaks. Or have you tried fish? I dont think you have to eat meats during pregnancy, but I know its good for you! I would ask my doc. and make sure I am taking my prenatles religiously. Good Luck, hope you get to felling better!

Chicken is good for you and for your up coming baby health during pregnancy and if you are getting sick from this then i suggest you to boil chicken with little quantity of crushed black piper and salt.I hope it will be good in eating for you.

At my pregnancy time I had not eaten any chicken curry or roast,Just I had taken the chicken fry and ate it.Really after eating nothing is wrong with myself. But what I had done the good thing is,I haven't not touch it while making the fry,My dear (husband) has done the whole process, and I gave the suggestions at that time.
It may be sick to some of the people,I think they had taken the chicken from outside.
