Default Too Late to Switch OB's?

I am 28 weeks pregnant and wondering whether it is too late to change my ob/gyn. I don't care for his manner, he is very abrupt and the idea that he would be there when I am in labor bothers me. But does it make sense to change doctors so late in the game?

I would do it. First time labor and delivery – heck, any labor and delivery – can be a tense time as it is. You don’t need to have someone in charge making it worse for you. If I were you, I would immediately talk to some other OB’s. Explain to them your feelings – I think that the doctor you are looking for will completely understand.

It's never too late to change careproviders make sure your dotor takes time to answer all your questions and not treat you like your on an assembly line. Being happy with your doctor or midwife means alot.

I agree also. It's NEVER too late to switch your provider. Find one who treats you the way you deserve.

You can switch right up until you go into labor...but don't wait that long. Listen to your intuition, if it's saying change then do so.

It's never too late to switch. Well, maybe after the baby has arrived. But, I agree with the previous posters - if you're questioning it now then now is the time to switch so you can get to know your new provider.

I don't remember exactly when, but I switched from an OB to a mid-wife some time late in my second trimester, when I learned the option for a midwife was available. It's not too late! Good luck finding a doctor (or midwife!) you like!
