I do suggest a few things,one you put the baby in there with LOVE take out the same way, also makes for a better labor his semen will soften the cervix and your orgasm will cause uterine ct Also try raspberry LEAF tea a few cups a day. Remember labor is a process do not rush it I had my 2nd just shy of 3 weeks late.
you may also need to know they never need to break your water in labor, your labor even if it stalls giving you body a rest will start back up on its own, NEVER rush labor unless medically necessary! Sleep before the real stuff happens you will need it.
Also NEVER NEVER let them use cytotec to start your labor.
I just say as long as you are 100% sure everything is OK just stay home and go in when labor starts. You get only one chance to birth your baby make it a great one.

Since were on the subject. I've been told sperm gets absorbed faster through the stomach lining than the vaginal wall. There was some information written up a while back from the singing doula on what got baby in there can get baby out. I can't remember her given name just what she went by.

Inducing on your own is not a good thing to do. As another poster pointed out, a due date is not set in stone. Trying to force baby to come early can be bad for you AND baby.

I'm speaking from personal experience. I've had a damaged cervix and also my water broke in another pregnancy from uterine contractions which stopped, no dialation progression.


I'm sorry, but sperm isn't going to absorb into your belly to start labor. There just aren't enough proglastdins[sp?] to do that.

Baby will come when baby wants. Induction should only be a last resort.

She meant being absorbed in the stomach by, uh, digesting it lol. And studies seem to show that it's more effective that way than vaginally. It's up to the op if she wants to tell her dh that!

I lot of people have said that exercise, sex, spicy foods and fruit juice can help you go into labor early or act as a self inducing agent from what I've been told. I know a few people the sex, spicy food and exercise have worked for!

Well, I tried eating Eggplant parmisian when my daughter was two days late. We also had sex and I was in labor within 24 hours (don't know which worked). When my son was born, we had sex on the day I hit 37 weeks and I went into labor in about 12 hours. Coincidence.....??
