Default Re: Is It Bad to Want an Epidural?

What you feel is best for you and your baby is not going to be "bad". You need to do what you are the most comfortable with. I had an epidural with my first son. Pros- felt very little pain- Cons- felt very little of anything and had difficulty pushing him out. My second son I had naturally. Pros- labor and delivery went much quicker (was that due to not having an epidural- who knows?) Cons- it hurt and I am a wimp.

The bottom line is that only you can make the best choice for you and your baby. This is YOUR birth experience. However you choose to approach it is personal, not bad. Keep us posted!!

Go with your gut and what you feel is the right thing to do for you. Will you feel angry at yourself later if you do it? What if you don't? I will have an epidural with each and every pregnancy if I can...but I don't handle pain very well. Basically, it's completely your decision and no one can judge you either way.
