Re:Will I Be Able to Wear My Regular Clothes Home from Hospital?
It is VERY unlikely that you’ll fit into your old jeans for the trip home. Even if you didn’t gain a lot of weight during your pregnancy, your uterus won’t completely contract for a while. And you may very well be swollen from IV fluids as well. For my first two kids, I left the hospital in the same clothes I was admitted in – knit lounge pants and a maternity t-shirt. With my last pregnancy, I did buy something new to put on for my discharge date. But it was just a new pair of yoga pants and a cute extra large top to go with it. So, I totally understand being over maternity clothes. Go get something new and cute but make sure it’s still plenty big and very comfy!
