Default Going to Resort - Are Jacuzzi or Sauna Okay?

My husband and I want to spend a long weekend at a very nice resort to celebrate our anniversary next month. I am now 16 weeks pregnant and want to really pamper myself on this trip as it is probably the last one for quite a while. Now I am wondering whether it is okay to use the Jacuzzi and sauna while pregnant?

I don’t know if all of the experts agree on this one. But my understanding is that Jacuzzis and saunas aren’t a good idea for pregnant ladies. The theory is that these will raise your body temperature and affect circulation in a way that could be damaging to your baby. They can also make you dizzy if they’re too hot and a fall while pregnant wouldn’t be good either.

I think you should really ask your doctor what he or she thinks though.
