Re:Business Trips during First Trimester?
Unless you have terrible nausea, cramping or spotting, you should have no problems flying in your first trimester. Double check with your doctor but, barring a high risk pregnancy (especially a history of first trimester miscarriage), you should be in good shape to travel until your eighth month! Just take care of yourself – eat and drink sufficiently and try to get some rest.
If you’ve got morning sickness, you’ll need to figure out how to deal with it on the plane. Small snacks, “preggie pops” (lollipops formulated to battle nausea), hydration and no prenatal vitamins until later in the day after you’ve got something in your stomach! If it’s really bad, ask your doctor if there is any pharmaceutical assistance available.
