Re:First Trimester Trip to Paris
Assuming that you have no risk factors, there’s probably no reason you can’t go and enjoy your trip to Paris. Most pregnant women can safely travel through their second trimester or through their eighth month of pregnancy. But make sure you talk to your doctor about it before you go. She may have some thoughts about it depending on your medical and pregnancy history (have you had any miscarriages or first trimester complications in the past?). She may want you to do a little reconnaissance work regarding available medical facilities before you go. In that regard, the fact that your international travel will be to a large Western European city is in your favor. Other international destinations – especially those which might be considered Third World – might not be a great idea.
While you’re traveling, be sure to keep yourself hydrated and rested. And say your prayers that morning sickness will not take over your itinerary!
