Default Can I run a marathon if I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant?

I am a serious runner and am planning on running a marathon in two weeks. However, my period is a bit late and I may be pregnant. Would it be okay to participate in the marathon or is that too risky?

You likely have been training for the marathon for a long time and your body is well conditioned to it. For this reason, as long as there is no spotting or cramping, you should be able to participate in the marathon. Make sure you remain well hydrated during the marathon and don’t push yourself to the maximum.

Conventional wisom says any exercise you did regularly prior to pregnancy, you can continue. I'm a serious bicyclist and I kept going till 8.5 months, albeit I switched from a road bike to a hybrid with a big cushy seat.
Good luck in the marathon and congrats on the pregnancy!

Sure - why not. Just make sure you stay hydrated, and if you don't feel well stop! I hope you do well, if not win!

I agreed with WombToBloom advice, also you need to consult the medical doctor first for more clarification.
