Default Should I Be Worried About Low Fetal Heart Rate?

At the last ultrasound the doctor noted that the baby's heartbeat was a bit slow. He didn't say anything else about it though. Should I be worried?

Default Re: Should I Be Worried About Low Fetal Heart Rate?

Well, unfortunately, low fetal heart rates can be a strong indicator that the fetus is not well for any number of reasons and often ultimately indicates a miscarriage. This is certainly not always the case and, without knowing exactly how far along you are and what the heart rate was, it’s hard to say. My best recommendation would be to call your OB immediately and ask him about the heart rate and his thoughts about it.
